What we Believe

We believe the Bible is the exclusive, inspired, and inerrant Word of God, and is our sole authority in all matters of faith and practice.

We believe in the reality of God's existence - that He is the One, Living, Sovereign God, the personal infinite God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that the object of our faith is God, the Creator and Redeemer and Lord of all.

We believe in the eternal deity of our Lord Jesus Christ - that He is God; in His virgin birth; in His perfect, sinless life; in His miracles; in His substitutionary and atoning death through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to glory; in His personal and visible return in power and glory; and that Jesus Christ is Lord over all.

We believe in the lostness of all people in that they are born sinners, and are sinners by action, and must be saved by the grace of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

We believe that every individual "must be born again." Regeneration, or the new birth, is a work of God's grace whereby believers become new creatures in Christ Jesus. It is a change of heart wrought by the Holy Spirit through conviction of sin, to which the sinner responds in repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Repentance and faith are inseparable experiences of grace that result in the the new birth. Salvation cannot be earned; God freely grants His righteousness to one's account when they turn towards God and believe in Jesus. Salvation is based solely on the righteousness of Jesus Christ, His work on the cross, and His resurrection.

We believe eternal life is a free gift of God and comes only through faith and trust in the work done solely by Jesus Christ upon the cross, and in his subsequent resurrection. The righteous in their resurrected and glorified bodies will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with God. We believe Hell, the Lake of Fire, is a literal and eternal place where the unrighteous will be consigned to everlasting punishment.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose grace we are regenerated, and by whose power we are enabled to live a godly life. We understand the more outstanding gifts such as speaking in tongues or working of miracles to be early church gifts endowed by God in the days of the early church to give authenticity to the Gospel message and to Christian teaching. In those days the canon of Scripture was not yet complete.

We believe in the Scriptural unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ into one church.

We believe in the pre-tribulational and pre-millennial rapture of the church.
