Leadership

For the past nine years, Pastor Travis Shelton has faithfully served in pastoral ministry as both Counseling Pastor and Student Pastor. Throughout his ministry, he has seen firsthand the life-changing power of Christ at work through faithful biblical preaching, intentional discipleship, and compassionate care for people.

Pastor Travis is deeply committed to the authority and sufficiency of Scripture. His ministry philosophy centers on helping individuals and families grow in Christlikeness through sound biblical teaching, discipleship, and counseling rooted in God’s Word. In addition to preaching weekly expository messages, he has devoted much of his ministry to biblical counseling, leadership development, mission-focused outreach, and fostering meaningful discipleship across generations within the church.

Pastor Travis earned his Bachelor of Ministry in Pastoral Studies from Veritas Baptist College. He later earned his Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology and his Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

What excites Pastor Travis most about Fellowship Baptist Church is the church’s evident desire to glorify Christ through worship, discipleship, and community outreach. He prayerfully seeks to lead with a shepherd’s heart, encouraging every member to grow in their walk with Christ while equipping them to faithfully carry out the Great Commission.
