May I introduce you to God’s Good News?

God has good news for you! He wants nothing more than for you to experience His love and forgiveness that comes through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus died, taking upon Himself the punishment for our sins and rose again conquering death. The reality is, we all stand guilty before God, and are deserving of the just due for our offenses against Him. God is the Almighty, the ultimate Authority to whom we shall all give account, “for it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this judgment: so the Christ also, once offered to bear the sins of many,” (Hebrews 9:27-28).

If we are honest, we would admit that many of our deeds and thoughts dis-align with God’s righteous character. These things are sins, and they are an offense to God. God gave us the Law to help us see that we all stand condemned by our own misdeeds. Consider just a few of the ten commandments: For example, have you ever lied about something, coveted something, used God’s name in a worthless way, or looked upon another to lust (committing adultery of the heart, Matthew 5:28)? Those are just a few of God’s laws. God gave them so we could see clearly that we fall way short of His perfect righteousness. In fact, if we break just one, we are guilty of breaking them all, (James 2:10).

But God, in His love, freely offers His forgiveness and everlasting life to whoever will put their trust in His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is Lord of all Who gave His all for you. By dying on the cross Jesus paid the penalty for our sins in our place, and He conquered death by raising back to life the third day.

This is the most important good news you will ever here. It’s eternally important. Would you bow before God and take Him at His word, believing that what He says and promises is absolutely true? Here are several verses that speak of this rescue from sin that God offers to us through His Son Jesus:

Romans 3:10 “As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one.”"

Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 10:9-13. “…if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.””

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Romans 10:17 “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

If you read this far, you have heard the word of God. Please consider carefully what God’s word says. Our prayer is that you will trust the Lord Jesus as the only One Who can cleanse you from your sin and give you life rather than the death and Hell we all deserve. Our sins are an offense against God Who is holy and pure, and to avoid God’s just wrath for our sins, we must have His forgiveness. “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” 2 Peter 3:9.

May God bless and guide you into truth. In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” God loves you and wants you to experience His grace through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Know that grace and forgiveness are free gifts from God given to those who turn to God and place their trust in His Son Jesus Christ Who is Lord of all. Ephesians 2:8, 9 says “For by grace have you been saved by faith, and that, not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.” By faith, turn to God, and take His Son, the Lord Jesus as your Savior.

May you find forgiveness, peace, and rest in the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us know if we can pray with you, or if you have any questions about trusting Jesus Christ as your Savior.
